Personally: Wish List Items

As designers, we source a lot of different items, and inevitably we fall in love with the items ourselves. From the smallest décor item to a sectional to a light fixture, we’ve all grown attached to something used in a client’s home. Seeing them in their perfect home it’s hard to not envision all the goodies in our own space. my wish list

I’m in love with this range! The dual ovens, large middle griddle, and six burners leads me fantasizing about all the cooking I could do for family and friends. With a kitchen not large enough to handle it’s vast size, I will just make do with living vicariously through our client.

We recently sourced this stunning chandelier as an option for a client’s great room, and it matches my design aesthetic perfectly. I love it’s contemporary style, arched arms, black and white colour and overall sleek look. Pair this with a palette of soft beiges, whites, light oak and black accents and that’s my dream space.

It’s comes down to two words, storage bed. We’ve selected this bed for numerous clients, it’s fabric and style can easily match any style; and no one says no to more storage in our tight corridor Vancouver homes. Living in a small apartment myself, I love the idea of extra clothing storage that’s easily accessible. The warm, cream colour fabric and a French-seamed headboard makes this bed my next big splurge item

One of our recent projects had a sofa I have not been able to stop thinking about. A perfect amount of modern and class with a soft, neutral fabric. The unique channels add an elegant flare that can go with anything, this sofa is a statement piece in any home. Unlike other sofas with a similar design, it past the test for a comfy place to snuggle up after a long day.

I can’t explain how much I love this lil’ Dodo bird. I got to see him almost daily at the studio as he waited for a client’s home to complete, and every sighting filled me with joy. Of course, when I go to purchase one for myself it’s out of stock. Fingers crossed he comes back, because I want one for my home more than ever!

Similar to Victoria, I also live in an apartment and any furniture that has multiple functions piques my interest. A coffee table that can function as extra seating? Sounds great to me! It also just happens to be a perfect design – minimal with a hint of Art Deco and a fabric that is on multiple of our team members minds. Yup, this is the same fabric as Victoria’s storage bed and Taylor’s sofa, you could say we have a particular aesthetic around the office.

Finding the ideal piece for our clients is delightful, even if it does make us fall in love with something that either doesn’t fit in our homes, or is above our budget. Fall for anything on our list yourself? Let us know and we would love to help you get one of our favorites in your home.

Happy Thursday!
